Alma Heights Sports

Alma Heights is a member of Christian and Private School Athletic League (CPSAL) and field teams in girls' volleyball, basketball, and softball; and boys' soccer, basketball, and baseball. Each season includes twelve to sixteen games and a tournament for ranked teams. A try-out practice schedule will be posted for each sport. There is an athletic fee for each sport a student plays. Please read the Alma Heights Athletics Document for more information.

Students who desire to play on teams should check with the coach before the season and prepare to meet fitness and skills requirements, including a sports physical from a physician (required once every year). They should continue to focus on academics, because participation in sports depends on academic success. Students who are in danger of failing a course will be placed on short-term probation until their grades come up. Students who do not make the team are encouraged to stay involved by practicing with the team and/or participating as a team manager, statistician, or photographer. Prior participation with the team does not guarantee any student a spot on a team. Team composition is decided by the head coach base on student fitness and preparation, skills, attitude, effort, and potential.
